What they say:
Having already made huge waves in Leeds, Nottingham and Newcastle, George's Great British Kitchen is moving to Liverpool in September, opening a venue on the recently developed Paradise Street. The chain of restaurants has become famous for its patriotism, twisting traditional British plates into quirky dishes. Think cod-dogs and grilled fish 'n' chips. Better still, this loyalism extends to the venue's bar, where guests can sample a range of G&Ts and fruit cocktails all made using British gin as a base.
What we say:
The name George's Great British Kitchen has been echoing around some of Britain's biggest nightlife circles for the past few years. And from its title, you can tell immediately that showcasing the best of British food and drink is the raison d'etre behind this family of restaurant-bars. But taking things to the next level, the venue's blending of tradition with creativity helps it to stand above those traditional gastro pubs, while the well-stocked gin bar turns it into something of a jack-of-all-trades venue. You'll find us standing at the front of the queue when they open their doors in September.
