If melt-in-the-mouth steak is the way to your heart, you're in luck, as the popular chain Gaucho is opening in Liverpool. Transforming the ground floor of a Grade II listed former bank, this Water Street haunt promises to bring all the finesse and signature interiors, such as leather chairs and floor-to-ceiling windows, to its new city centre spot.
So, what's on the menu? You can expect a bunch of fan favourites, from swordfish causita to fillet steak, accompanied by drool-worthy sides, including creamed mashed potatoes, truffle mac 'n' cheese and buttered lettuce. If you're more of a Sunday roast person, then delve into a succulent sirloin of beef, served with all the trimmings and unlimited Yorkshire puddings cooked in dripping (cor, yes please).
As for drinks, they will offer a range of delicious concoctions to complement their meat, like the ruby slipper, which mixes whisky, elderflower liqueur and a beetroot shrub shaken with lemon juice. Or, if you fancy a tipple to match your dessert, then opt for a butterscotch bonbon made of vodka, butterscotch schnapps and limoncello.
