Albert Dock’s latest addition is a tequila fuelled collaboration from the teams behind London-fave Breddos and Scouser born and bred venues, Belzan and Volpi. Madre is a contemporary taqueria specialising in tasty tacos, craft beers and more margaritas than you can shake a pair of maracas at.
Expect tacos stuffed with Iberico pork al pastor, Jalisco style shrimp and beef short rib birria, as well as show-stopping sharing plates such as pigs head chicharron and butterflied seabass divorciados.
The huge 100-cover venue will call the Grade I listed Atlantic Pavillion its home, and will feature the same pared back, contemporary interiors seen in its sister venues. Open from lunch till late, Madre is set to become the new go-to venue for nights fuelled by good food, great drinks, and table-top dancing.
