What they say:
Liverpool pretty much has everything, but there’s one thing it is missing: a Michelin star. Well, Anton Piotrowski, winner of MasterChef: The Professionals 2012, has made it his mission to give the city that golden accolade with his newest venture, Roski. Setting up shop in Liverpool thanks to its rapidly growing food scene, he and his girlfriend are to launch a crowdfunding campaign to renovate their space and bring his innovative food to the city.
What we say:
If all goes to plan, we can have a current Michelin star holder in the city working towards giving one to a home venue. But once he gets the money, he’s hoping the 40-cover restaurant will include a private dining room and a wine cellar, and will serve a five-course or eight-course tasting menu with drinks to pair. They’ll change fortnightly, but will include dishes like baked sea bream, smoked butter mushroom puree and a parma ham crumble, as well as pheasant braised in black bean sauce served with a bao bun and a fried quail egg.
