What they say:
"A neighbourhood bar with good beer", this is one of the main ways John Salt's operators describe the new restaurant and bar that opened in Islington in November 2012. With a strong culinary team behind the 25-cover restaurant and its unique menu, John Salt seems to have the pedigree to succeed with London's diners and drinkers. Guests can choose between a 4, 8 or 12 course tasting meal or can eat from a smaller 5 plate snack menu at the bar downstairs. With a cocktail menu put together by Soulshakers you can expect some excellent drinks to combine with the food and create a great evening. A testament to this quality of John Salt, is that before they have even opened, they are fully booked till mid-December.
What we say:
N1 Islington is already a great place for bars and pubs and the addition of John Salt will do nothing but help its reputation grow. This new restaurant and bar has seen massive hype surround its opening; with a cool menu which includes chicken sitting atop a honey-glazed brick... yes you read right, a brick, and licking it is actively encouraged. Utter Madness. With cool cocktails and lots of different beers on offer this could be one to check out when in the neighbourhood. The bar also offers a small eats menu for those looking for a light graze.
