Meet Ben Schroder, Founder of Pensador Mezcal, for an exploration of mezcal and its place in the exciting category of Agave Spirits, followed by a look at the origins of Pensador Mezcal, a tasting of the full range, and a discussion about the things that make it special! Ben’s story of jumping from teaching children maths in London to sourcing mezcal in Oaxaca is an entertaining lesson in trusting your gut and learning on the move. The tasting is a journey to the home of Pensador in Miahuatlan, Oaxaca, with fascinating details about the Place, Process, and the wonderful People behind these rare and exciting spirits. And to top it all off we'll add TACOS too! Sipping and pairing, it cannot get any better

Callooh Callay opened in November 2008. At the time, cocktail bars in Shoreditch were few and far between. We wanted to open a venue which delivered high quality drinks and service, but without any of the pretension that came along with those things in 2008. We also wanted to do things a little differently with our design and with our menus, for which we have become pretty famous.In the 10 years which have followed, we've been very lucky to have made drinks for, and served, hundreds of thousands of guests. We've been even luckier to win an award or 2 from our peers along the way. We were named Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar at Tales of the Cocktail 2016, Worlds Best Cocktail Menu in 2012 and have been named in Drinks International's World's 50 Best Bars in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight WFL Media Ltd and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
