Description
Just round the corner from The Royal College of Art in London, The Doodle Bar in Battersea is hidden in an old warehouse not far from the Battersea Park. The bar is set against the backdrop of TESTBED1 - a dramatic and versatile arts and events space for creative innovation, ideas and experimentation. You can enjoy a good scribble, eat some street food, play a game of ping pong or hook up with some fellow doodlers in a space designed to promote freedom of creativity.
The main reason for coming down, apart from the cheap drinks and the ping pong tables, is that you are literally invited to doodle over anything! Big blackboards rapidly fill up with with characters, flowers and animals. It's great fun and the calm and relaxed atmosphere is perfect to chill out with a real homely feeling. This creative space also hosts performances by the nearby Royal College of Art and other artistic and musical events. There are regular events including Life Drawing, Spanish Film Night and ping pong tournaments.
