Description
The idea for Bedford and Strand came about in 2005, when a group of five friends just wanted tasty food and good wine. The name has a New York City air to it, taking the names 'Bedford' and 'Strand' from the streets on the corner of where it resides. It's a basement venue with a refined vibe, a deli counter and a well chosen wine list. Though it's predominantly a wine bar, they also serve a selection of beers, cocktails, cider and 'other curiosities'.
Bedford and Strand's location means that it's a thriving place, filled with couples, co-workers and theatre goers. Candles adorn the tables with low hanging lights overhead and maps of New York and mirrors on the wall. The overall effect is light and comfy. Ideal for a pre-theatre dinner, date night or just chilling with friends while you look sophisticated and drink their stunning wines.
