Fugitive Motel is Bethnal Green's best-loved pizzeria - a 50’s inspired mecca for craft brews and all-day eating. Serving speciality coffee from local suppliers and fresh homemade pastries in the morning, the venue transforms itself into a vibrant social hub once the evening rolls in.
Beer is the name of the game here, with 14 craft beauties on draft from East London breweries and further afield, all hand-picked by the founders. Setting itself apart from other craft bars, it holds low and no alcohol options in equal weight to their boozy counterparts, positioning them along the line from lowest to highest alcohol content. Fugitive Motel also offers kombucha on tap, a concise collection of natural wines and a 'Spritz and Kickz' menu to enjoy while chomping away on gooey sourdough pizza, served fresh from the kitchen ‘till late.
The self-proclaimed playful oasis boasts an abundance of plants and greenery against a backdrop of pastel hues running along the walls. The green will continues its way into the terrace, while a West Coast-inspired 50’s style pizza lounge will has a slightly more industrial feel, softened with more pastel. Fugitive Motel boasts quirky little touches too, such as big American-style booths with floor-to-ceiling windows and a ‘vacancy’ light above inviting others to come and sit in the booth with you, should you choose. There is also a cheeky shuffleboard tucked in the corner of the bar, with a community league board for all you competitive folks.
