Description
The folks behind the Discount Suit Company have branched out with an exciting new venture in Bethnal Green. This is The Sun Tavern, a relaxing joint specialising in cocktails and fine ales on a historical site close to the underground station.
There's been a boozer in some shape or form on the site since 1851, and The Sun Tavern pays homage to the history and charisma of this East London favourite with its stripped back interiors. Thirsty revellers face quite the dilemma; with a large selection of Irish whiskies, Poiton, house lagers and pale ales competing for pride of place on the menu. There's also a weekly changing 'Local Hero' fine ale plucked from microbreweries within a two mile radius.
It's not all about the booze though. The Sun Tavern wants to be a homely plot, keeping locals topped up with pastries and freshly brewed coffees in the morning and delectable bar snacks as the day wears on.
