This event is part of EFG London Jazz Festival 2022, the capital’s biggest pan-city music festival, taking place annually in November, which has long been acclaimed for showcasing a heady mix of talent from around the world. Widely acknowledged for delivering world-class artists and emerging stars, the Festival continues to take jazz to a massive audience, in one of UK’s landmark music events. Following an exceptional edition last year, EFG London Jazz Festival returns with a programme of live performances by an electrifying lineup of global stars, special collaborations, and the finest and freshest music. On Wednesday 16th November 2022 it is with great pleasure that we welcome Arifa’s Reefers to the living room stage.
ABOUT THE BAND
Renowned jazz band Arifa’s Reefers are bringing their unique old-time jazz to Ninety One Living Room for a swinging evening!
Arifa’s Reefers are a jazz band that plays swing and blues from the 1920s and 30s. The band is led by singer Arifa Hafiz, a Bangladeshi British who miraculously manages to channel the voices of great blues and jazz singers, such as Billie Holiday, Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey and Merline Johnson, whilst still sounding truly herself. She has an honest and giving spirit and she’ll be accompanied by some of London’s great specialists.
Beginner Swing dance classes will be held from 7.15 - 8.15. This will be followed by live old jazz, ragtime, blues and swing from Arifa’s Reefers live band at 8:30-11pm. Come and dance or hang out and listen at the bar, to old music being played by this amazing London band.

Please note: If you purchace a dance class ticket please arrive by 7:00pm. If you purchase an Arifa's Reefer's only ticket the band will take to the stage at 8:30pm. DOORS: 7PM / DANCE CLASS 7:15PM / STAGE TIME: 8:30PM

If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
