Following in the footsteps of sister venue Canova Hall, new Brixton watering hole, Cattivo, will be setting up shop on Ferndale Road this October. While a relation of the renowned Italian restauant, as well as that of its sibling over in Hackney, this cocktail bar and cafe is definitely the black sheep of the family. Staying up a little later and indulging in slightly edgier activities, Cattivo deals primarily in coffee, cocktails and louche entertainment, where customers will be able to enjoy all manner of pursuits, from cocktail-making and cabaret, to live jazz and gin blending. The bar will also serve up a selection of Italian-inspired small plates, so hungry punters can dig into servings of fresh filled pasta, homemade ragù and juicy meatballs.
