What they say:
The Camden Assembly wants to put the focus on the local neighbourhood’s thriving and eclectic musical scene. They’ll give up-and-coming bands the chance to play in a 400-capacity venue, while putting on raucous club nights that go until 3am come the weekends. A venue that’s tailor-made for private functions for groups between 100 and 400-strong, there’s to be plenty of boozy refreshments and a menu devised by the Lucky Chip team, so come expecting their signature burgers and hot-dogs served ‘til 10pm.
What we say:
It’s been a rocky week or so for London’s nightlife scene, but news of The Camden Assembly is a big lift. Brought to London by the same group behind venues like XOYO, The Nest, Blues Kitchen and The Old Queen’s Head, The Camden Assembly will devote itself to becoming a “forward-thinking reflection of eclectic tastes”, with student events, live music and quiz nights all involved throughout any given week.
