William D. Drake and his band, present a feast of gorgeous instrumentation, masterful piano, ancient grinding hurdy-gurdy, harmonium, clarinet, guitar, drums… topped with growly vocals and angelic choral singing. Weaving layers of textured melody with rock undertones, they journey through the surreal and psychedelic, telling curious tales with sideways humour.
William D Drake’s fifth solo album ‘Revere Reach’, a hearty, thumping folk-tinged romp, topped many music press ‘Best of 2015’ charts, he was voted simultaneously 89th and 14th 'Greatest Artists of all Time' poll (solo and with Cardiacs) in a Prog Magazine poll and is regularly championed by snooker legend, turned DJ, Steve Davis!
William D Drake was a defining member of the 80's/early 90's line-up of cult band Cardiacs.
