Description
Taking immersive experience to a whole new level, WeJam is the first-of-its-kind recording studio where rockstars are born. The concept is simple: gather a group of friends, decide on a band name, choose your instrument, then spend the next 60 minutes rehearsing and performing your favourite pop and rock songs - even if you have zero musical experience. With help from some clever technology, beginners will only need to play one note at a time, and the missing notes, riffs, and beats are filled in automatically. Each player is guided by the screen in front of them as well as a professional musician in the room who's there to assist. Every note gets logged which means group members can compete for the highest score on each performance. At the end of the session, recordings are provided so you can relive the experience forever.
Finding the secret studio is all part of the fun. After entering the ordinary-looking guitar shop at street level, be sure to find a member of staff and tell them: "I'm here with the band". If you pass the test, you'll then be led down some stairs and through a hidden door disguised as a Marshall stack where your producer is waiting for you. Take a moment to imagine all the other legendary bands that have once stood and recorded in this exact spot.
For the full rockstar experience you can also make your very own 'rider' requests - a list of food, drink, and miscellaneous demands, inspired by pop and rock legends.
