REBECCA FERGUSON has had an astonishing career securing her position as one of the world’s most successful vocalists and songwriters. Her four chart-topping albums include a stunning tribute to Billie Holliday, Lady Sings the Blues, which was met with rapturous critical acclaim. She is also famous for turning down Donald Trump’s request for her to sing at his Presidential Inauguration by agreeing to do so only if she could sing Billie Holliday’s Strange Fruit, a remarkably soulful, beautiful and poignant protest song against American racism written in 1937.
Sharing her favourite songs and artists from the golden age of vinyl, including Georgia on my Mind, Mad about the Boy, I wish I knew how it is to be free, I say a little prayer, Wonderful world, Hit the road Jack and Sitting on the dock of the bay.
