The Gun is a stunning riverside gastropub in Docklands, London.
The pub is a Grade II-listed building that dates back to the early 18th century and took its current name from the cannon which was fired to celebrate the opening of the West India Import Docks in 1771. In the late 1700s, Lord Horatio Nelson acquired a property just up the road and he regularly visited The Gun and met Lady Emma Hamilton in an upstairs room (now called The River Room) for their secret assignations.
The pub has been restored to its former glory with a multitude of stunningly refurbished private dining rooms and snug areas to discover.
