What they say:
Tonteria London is a new cocktail bar in Chelsea with Mexican style and jaw-dropping wow-factor. Rumour has it theyve created a train that serves tequila, dropping drinks off at the tables. The new bar in Chelsea, set in a large basement, is designed with a strong connection to the Mexican highlands. With hand-painted Mexican tiles, hammocks and plants it epitomises the Mexican spirit while keeping it modern with a unique sense of swag with eye-catching colours and class. Tequila is the centre of attention in the bar at Tonteria, in shots, on the rocks and in creative cocktails and above all in frozen margaritas. With a dozen tables and comfortable seating booths for those who dare not try the hammocks, its also a nice bar to have some excellent Tapas dishes or platters to share.
What we say:
This new Chelsea bar has a photo booth branded as a confession box, which isn’t too surprising considering the previous eclectic night life ventures from the team behind Tonteria with nightclubs like Mahiki, Whiskey Mist and Public under their belts. Public, which attracted guests like Katy Perry and Pixie Lott but which was forced to close because they couldn’t contain the debauchery from upsetting the neighbours. Not to get your hopes up too high, but one of the owners of Tonteria is best mates with the English princes so they might head to this new Mexican bar in Chelsea for a night out.
