What they say:
The latest bar and restaurant to open in Blackfriars's Crowne Plaza, Diciannove offers city workers a fresh taste of Italy. With executive chef Allesandro Bay at the helm, this new Italian bar and restaurant serves up the highest quality seasonal Italian dishes and sharing platters, all perfectly paired with the finest Italian wines and expertly crafted cocktails. The interior is lavishly decked out with a glass fronted bar, plush leather seating and beautifully upholstered furnishings to across three areas, to serve a tripartite function of wine and cocktail bar, dining space and delicatessen - this is an inner city drinking and dining space to suit all needs.
What we say:
Just what Blackfriars needs, another Italian bar and restaurant - no, really! Diciannove is a cool and sophisticated new Italian inspired drinking and dining space that provides city workers, ramblers and families the chance to dine on some of the most authentic seasonal Italian dishes this side of the Mediterranean. If you all that fine dining makes you thirsty, then try your hand at one of the 'Twisted Negronis', made from a bizarre array of favours including rhubarb - but surprisingly tasty, nonetheless. If you're not feeling quite so brave, then you can be safe in the knowledge that Diciannove holds some of the finest Italian wines and offers a wine selection of London craft beers. You needn't feel parched at Diciannove.
