Description
Kaleidoscope is a whisky bar based in the middle of Devonshire Square in the City of London. Owned and run by the renowned Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS), the bar is stocked with over 200 rare single malts from distilleries all around the world.
Though SMWS is usually known for being an exclusive club that rarely hands out its memberships, Kaleidoscope is the group's first non-member bar and will be open to everyone over the age of 18. The venue offers London's whisky fans one of the rarest collection of single malts in the country and is ideal for both self-proclaimed connoisseurs and those looking to take a dip in the barrel for the first time.
The menu of drams has been split into twelve sub-categories, each with names like Deep Rich and Dried Fried to help guests order the perfect drink. The head mixologists Michael Cook and Jamie Meehan have also been hard at work, using just a handful of these spirits to create a line-up of great whisky-laced cocktails. If whisky isn't your thing, the bar also serves a variety of rums, cognacs, fine wines, chilled bottles of champagne and craft beers from Edinburgh.
To complete the experience and help keep their guests sat upright, the team at Mac & Wild are in charge of the food menu, serving fresh British cuts and their cheese-heavy mac 'n' cheese to the whisky swiggers in the bar.
