What they say:
The brains behind Patch St. Paul's are opening a new cocktail spot in the heart of London's financial district this March. Patch East will be looking to bring the quirky charm of a sleek Shoreditch cocktail bar to Aldgate. The venue will feature a number of private hire rooms, all themed in different ways - think a ski lodge, a sleek boudoir, a Miami-inspired art-deco room and an area inspired by the neon lights of downtown Tokyo. The prime focus of the venue will be its cocktail menu, featuring both inventive concoctions and classic recipes.
What we say:
Being totally honest, we're chuffed about the opening of this new city-based cocktail joint. As part of the Patch brand's plan to 'bring cool back to the greater City', the venue has taken inspiration from some of East London's most charming spots. Going as far as roping in the help of DTWO - the designers behind Callooh Callay and Tonteria - the venue's many weird-yet-wonderful seating areas and carefree vibes are certain to etch a few smiles. Be sure to try the Shinjuku cocktail, made using cherry blossom gin, Yuzu liqueur and plum juice. You'll definitely see us drinking a few/four at the launch.
