The Dickens Inn pub in London has a long and intriguing
history intertwined with Charles Dickens and East London heritage.
First the wooden warehouse building thought to have housed tea
since late 1700s but was moved and reconstructed in the
18th century to turn into the three storey balconied inn
that now graces St Katharine Docks.
This pub by the Thames has two lovely beer gardens with fresh
flowers, dining tables, views of the docks, BBQ food and both areas
can be booked for private parties during summer. The insides are
equally picturesque with antique furniture, airy décor and a focus
on friendly service and English pub traditions. The Dickens Inn has
five large flat-screen TVs for sports fans who can count on
catching all the big games, Wimbledon, football, etc. at this great
pub in London.
They have a rich drinks selection and plenty of well-kept ales
like London Pride, Greene King IPA, London Glory, Ale Smith etc.
The food menu offers a good range of pub grub, speciality steaks,
Sunday roasts, snacks and delicious fresh fish. You can also order
a home-made pizza to devour for example on sunny balcony.
For bespoke private functions, Christmas parties in London,
wedding parties, corporate parties and more, the Dickens suite is a
remarkably beautiful venue that can cater for up to 200 people.
