What they say:
Fields is a new cafe-turned-bar opening up in the leafy, offbeat Clapham Common area. An offbranch of M1LK cafe, it serves similarly charming and eclectic menus of homemade cakes, fresh and hearty plates, and best of all, lip smacking beers and drinks. The building itself is home to a large roof terrace (heated, thank God), as well as a smaller indoor space. The staff are picked for their friendliness, warmth and perfect Aussie smiles, so there's no issue making yourself at home at this warm South London space.
What we say:
The hip young things over at M1LK are so fun, cool, goodlookin' and talented (they bake, they cook, they make interesting collages) that if they weren't so darned nice, we would probably hate their guts. But we don't, and so we are rather excited for them as they plan on expanding into Clapham Common with their equally cool, interesting and fun new venue Fields.
It's an uber-green venture with its dedication to local, sustainable, indepedent produce, and since cooking up their own ginger beer and hand selecting local breweries isn't enough, they're even going so far as to grow some of their produce up on their picturesque roof terrace. It's as friendly, spirited and easy to nestle into for an afternoon as your boho best friend's living room.
