What they say:
The Forbidden Temple has now closed.
Forbidden Temple in Clapham is a new cocktail bar, kitchen and club that is bringing a touch of the Far East and Asia to South West London. The setting and decor is exotic with low-lit candles bringing out the Asian artworks and stylings that adorn the walls. You can work your way through a sumptuous cocktail menu which include such tasty delights as the 'Okinawa Iced Tea' and the 'Sweet Orchid'. Forbidden Temple located on Queenstown Road has a kitchen taking flavours from India and Japan including sumptuous duck spring rolls to guests happy and well fed. They also have a DJ on hand at the weekends playing the latest dance and pop hits till 3am for anyone looking to dance the night away.
What we say:
We think Forbidden Temple is a real find in the heart of Clapham, a smart and stylish bar bringing a new kind of Asian dining experience to London. With a cool interior that takes inspiration from the far east and an intimate atmosphere Forbidden Temple looks like a great choice for early evening drinks; it would also be good for groups looking for a place to book a party as the Taboo and Jigsaw private areas look perfect for groups of friends. The cocktail list is imaginative and fully reflects the essence and mission statement of the bar and kitchen, somewhere a lot of time has clearly been put in.
If you enjoy dancing into the early hours then Forbidden Temple will also be right up your alley as festivities go on till 3am; so if you enjoy a slice of the orient then get yourself down to Forbidden Temple Clapham and see what all the fuss is about.
