Description
Canela is a stylish restaurant and bar that brings the exciting and diverse flavours of Portugal to Covent Garden. A dynamic and bustling hangout, Canela is a busy deli by day and a charming wine bar and restaurant by night. The long established venue has been updated by the owners who have jazzed it up with beautiful 1950s light fittings, chandeliers, marble topped tables, leather stools and a quirky wall decorated with old wireless radios.
Canela serves up contemporary but authentic cuisine showcasing the full flavours of Portugal. There's a selection of smaller and larger plates to consider, as well as a neat range of cheese, cured meat and Iberian Ham platters. Each dish has been developed from original recipes and family favourites, and all produce is sourced direct from the Med to guarantee the freshest and finest food.
The wine list is truly the shining light of Canela. The venue supplies a wide selection of high quality Portuguese wines which are all carefully picked from various regions and vineyards by the owners. So if you're a wine lover, fancy a post work tipple or find yourself looking for somewhere to have a pre-theatre meal; Canela is the ideal place for you. The venue's chic dining room is perfect if you're hosting a private event, and the outside seating makes Canela a lovely place to spend summer evenings.
