A trendy restaurant bar in Dalston, Jones & Sons is located in
an old Victorian textile factory; an understated space where
everything is in the details. A lot of effort went into designing
this venue, wanting to stay true to the building's industrial
heritage, incorporating commercial maritime salvage while getting
influences from post-war Danish design.
Out back is the bright open-plan kitchen with a large char grill
as the centrepiece. The main room has a 5.2-metre marble-toped oak
bar to compliment the hand-picked mid-century Scandinavian
furniture. Lights sourced from a maritime salvage specialist in
Exeter give a personal touch and hints to the time and dedication
that has gone into the planning of Jones & Sons.
Offering quality, well-made British food, they want to create a
space for people to "meet, eat and relax" in a modern setting. All
meat comes from local Well Street Butchers; the thick meat is
perfectly cooked and served with delicately prepared vegetables.
Rich coffee is also expertly made from a beautiful
vintage Faema machine, and the wine list is hand selected, in
accordance with their attention to detail.
