What they say:
New to the historic area of Smithfields, Bird of Smithfield is a 5 storey restaurant bar housed in a stunning Georgian Townhouse with beautiful views of the old market and surrounds. The dining room serves classic British grub, with a twist; all created by Alan Bird, the former head chef of the famous London restaurant, The Ivy. Bird of Smithfield has classy, homely decor of herringbone and tweed patterns and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as delicious drinks in their 3 different cocktail bars that includes The Birdcage. The star of the show is the open-air rooftop bar!
What we say:
Set to be one of the biggest openings of the spring in London, Bird of Smithfield has quite a few tricks up its sleeve. From the spacious rooftop bar and garden to the more formal dining rooms, there is something for everyone. The basement cocktail bar aptly named The Birdcage, which serves up a delicious range of drinks curated by expert mixologists Fluid London (Purl and Worship Street Whistling Shop) will be hosting late-night parties as well as live music and DJs that shows its not just food that is inspiring Alan Bird these days.
