What they say:
Naga Restaurant and Bar situated in Kensington delivers oriental prowess with influences from Vietnam and the entire South-East Asian region. Traditional Chinese creations and classic favourites are prepared with fresh seasonal produce cooked deftly by a highly experienced and accomplished team. The team’s success and ability has seen them win the highly coveted title of ‘Best Chinese Restaurant in London’ in this year’s Asian Curry Awards.
Tri Van Dang who has an impressive collection of successful ventures under his belt including Mahiki and the Brompton club has put the cocktail list together. Some stand out creations and a particular guest favourite is the Chinese Tea Cup (£25 for a teapot for two) that comprises of Grey La Poire shaken with pear, elderflower cordial, lemon juice and pink champagne.
For the larger groups, Naga also offers a private dining experience where guests can have personalised food, drink, music and décor.
What we say:
There is no denying London’s love for Chinese food. We even have an entire district devoted to all things from South-East Asia. The capital’s other love affair is undoubtedly with cocktails. A combination of the two can only prove to be a success but when the creators of such a place hold accolades that include winning the ‘Best Chinese Food in London’ (Asian Curry Awards 2012), and such past ventures as Mahiki and the Brompton Club, the results are bound to be something special. With a cocktail bar that can function in its own right and compete with London’s front-runners on the same site as an award winning kitchen, Naga looks like it could be a popular choice.
