What they say:
The fourth location from the Humble Grape brand, this new Liverpool Street wine bar joins a host of sister sites in Islington, Battersea and near Fleet Street. The 54-cover restaurant, which serves 30 wines by the glass and 400 bottles, is filled with shelves and furniture made from recycled wine-making materials - even the menus are the product of recycled crushed grapes. Sustainability is, in fact, a key motif throughout the bar with the majority of their wines coming from biodynamic, organic or sustainable vineyards, and their small plates menu using only the best ethically-sourced and seasonal ingredients.
What we say:
A short walk from Liverpool Street Station, the latest addition to the Humble Grape family is your newest way-home-from-work detour. Stocking 30 wines by the glass, along with a further 400 bottled varieties for your to drink-in or take-away, it's the perfect place for a post-office pick-me-up or dinner with friends. Far from any snooty wine snobbery, this bar and restaurant is great for newbies to the ways of the grape as well as hardened consumers. Alongside their extensive wine list, the kitchen produces a selection of seasonal British small plates and sharing platters, developed by Executive Head Chef Kishen Raheja.
