Description
London Picnic Club is transforming Skyroom, the beautiful rooftop bar by London Bridge, into a garden for summer 2012. Organised by the outstanding events agency Platterform a picnic sanctuary will be created with blankets and cushions, picnic hampers, garden games, live musical and theatrical performances, movies and a deck chair lounge. For £35 pounds, tickets to the London Picnic club include a basket of food to share, masterminded by head chef Alejandro Bello (who made his reputation at Ceviche). The alfresco dining experience contains tapas style hot dishes, innovative ceviches and garden fresh salads as well as locally produced artisanal breads, Nealâs Yard Dairy cheeses, Spanish and Italian charcuterie, home-made preserves and dips, fresh fruits and exotic desserts.
Innovative coffee company DunneFrankowski will be shaking up the cocktails in a botanical drinks laboratory suitable named The SkyLab. Flavours will be inspired by traditional British summer gardens with exclusive recipes and quirky takes on the classics. If you only want to come up for drinks, entertainment and small snacks you can pay £5 at the door if they have any blanket spaces left in their wonderful pop-up roof garden.
