Novikov

The Novikov Bar in Mayfair is a delightful Russian doll with its three-in-one concept of lounge bar; Asian Pan and Italian restaurant.  Its creator, Arkady Novikov, with over 50 restaurants in his native Russia is not used to thinking small, that€™s for sure. The vast space of his Mayfair empire has been decorated to cater for his mixed tastes of cuisine: classy wood and vases for the Asian; rich countryside rustic for the Italian; neon-lit bar for sassy drinks.

The Asian food menu reads like a best of compilation of the diverse continent€™s culinary heights: sushi, dim sum, salads, wok dished and charcoal grilled meat. All dishes are made to be shared and will arrive at your table in indiscriminate order. The Italian is more traditional.

Down the stairs is the lounge bar which sends your imagination to the posh suites of the Titanic- comfortable armchairs and sofas draped in rich fabrics, a delicate light system and pictures in heavy frames. This is a wonderful place to relax in the middle of Mayfair. Novikov plays electronic music but will also feature DJs and live performances in the lounge bar.  

As if I couldn't stress the Russian doll concept further the bar serves Tiger beer, ornamental oriental cocktails, Saki, exclusive Italian wine and fine Champagne. This Meerkat restaurant tycoon has created a great Mayfair Bar and Restaurant that is sensible in style but limitless in its offerings.
