What they say:
The first nightclub in London with three Michelin stars will open this Summer in London’s illustrious Mayfair. Rocking Horse, the product of a partnership between Mark Cutler and Mark Alexiou, will be situated in the Basement of the Westbury Hotel. With an ethos of exclusivity but not stuffiness, they encourage people to have a good time. Rocking horse will be conveniently situated to take advantage of the hotel's features, such as valet parking, concierge and Michelin starred chef Alyn Williams’ restaurant. Renowned designer Manolo Blahnik, famous for his popular shoes, will orchestrate this design. Potential members will undergo a stringent selection process; city slickers as well as the creative types are welcome but the ‘wide boys’ who think they are welcome because they can afford it, will not be admitted.
What we say:
Rocking Horse Mayfair is set to be the members club that gives this part of London the exact shake-up that it needs. Mark Cutler's previous ventures include bringing some of the world's most prominent international restaurant groups to London such as Nobu and Cipriani. Alexious also has an impressive repertoire that includes Coco Club in Verbier. A collaboration of the two can only produce great things. There will be a trendy, yet classy, decor - designed by shoe magnate Manolo Blahnik; a mix of creative types and city boys; and with michelin star chef Alyn Williams upstairs, fantastic food. A selection committee, including the owners, supermodels and famous writers, will ensure the members will be worthy of such a glamorous establishment.
