What they say:
The guys behind the Roka head into their tenth year in 2014 and with the addition of two slick new Japanese robatayaki restaurants in Mayfair and Aldwych looming, there's ample reason to celebrate. This North Audley Street hangout creates a "relaxed yet elegant" dining experience for guests, with the powers-that-be at Roka teaming a slick contemporary interior with a menu crammed full of authentic Japanese cuisine. With an emphasis on a 'made to share' philosophy, expertly crafted sushi and sashimi lines up alongside a list of mouth-watering Asian classics and an army of international wines and innovative cocktails.
What we say:
Ten years after they opened their doors for the first time, the Roka brand continues to go from strength to strength. Using the successes of their other two London-based eateries as something of a blueprint, the owners add a variety of unique dishes to the menu to offer that little extra to its guests. The 'made to share' philosophy gives visitors the chance to easily sample a whole collection of the fantastic cuisine on offer, and the contemporary dècor creates a vibrant energy about the place. This stylish restaurant and bar fits seamlessly into its Mayfair surroundings.
