What they say:
Unfortunately plans to open Bibo were scrapped.
Bibo is an Italian themed restaurant and bar that is the brainchild of two powerhouses in the restaurant scene. Rebecca Mascarenhas and Theo Randal have joined forced in a pairing that is likely to take Putney by storm. Expect hearty Italian food cooked at a Michelin Star standard. Both Randall and Mascarenhas are associated with Michelin Star restaurants, a combined effort is only likely to yield positive results. There will be a separate bar, for those that just fancy a relaxing drink, and a 60 cover terrace for alfresco wining and dining.
What we say:
Every so often, a place comes along that is bound to be a success. Bibo is such a place. Putney is an affluent part of London with a vast residential area but lacking in a genuinely stand-out dining and drinking option. Bibo is likely to fill this void, with such an impressive partnership at the helm. Rebecca Mascarenhas and Theo Randall have both achieved Michelin Stars (Kitchen W8 and The River Cafe, respectively), so are well versed in fine dining. The site is set to open in September and is expected to be a mainstay in the Putney dining scene.
