It's clear that the guys at Hide & Seed have worked hard to set up a flexible environment that lends itself to all kinds of revellers. To start with they've set up a delicious contemporary menu with more than the odd nod to Portugal, with head chef Ricardo Soares tapping into his Portuguese and African heritage to put together some stylish spreads. There's plenty to drink as well, the cocktail card is vibrant and will offer a blend of fresh berries, herbs, flowers and spirits, whilst the wine list is thoughtfully compiled and craft beers plucked from the best local breweries. All of this can be enjoyed in a venue purposefully divided into the intimate 'library' and airy lounge area. There's plenty to talk about here.
What we say:
Hide & Seed's versatile approach will roll three venues into one. The intimate 12-cover dining room will provide guests with the chance to kick back, relax and catch up with their nearest and dearest, whilst the lounge area will be more characterised by an airy ambience, large tables and inviting sofas. Throw in a detached bar oozing style and you've got a venue that lends itself to a truly eclectic crowd. If there's one thing that is consistent it's the appetising nature of everything on the menu, which helps make this division of the Lodge Hotel an eagerly anticipated addition to the Putney scene.
