Ribeira is temporarily closed.
Ribeira, discretely tucked away on De Beauvoir Crescent in Hackney, is a beautifully designed bistro, bar and event space that sits adjacent to the canal that meanders through Hackney. This is where South America and East London come together in a bohemian and cultural fusion. The venue takes its inspiration from the waterways of South America, and the mix of Latin colonial style in a modern environment ensures that you experience the best of both worlds.
The menu at Ribeira sees the marrying of English breakfast classics with some exotic Latin American creations: you will find Eggs Benedict and pastries in the morning and Latin styled tapas, snacks and sharing platters for a great lunch and dinner. For the heartier eater, the Argentinian steak is an absolute must. They also serve smoothies, quality coffees, and an amazing selection of cocktails, both traditional and Latin, as well as variety of wines, specialist lagers, draught beer and Portuguese bottles.
Guests are able to hire out parts of the venue to suit any requirements and group size (the mezzanine can hold 26 people with the lounge maxing out at 40). The dedicated function room is fully sound proofed and equipped with the latest technology, making it ideal for all types of event, from live music performances and film screenings to private dinners, meetings or parties. They also host wine, spirit and coffee tastings (including training on how to make a proper cup from the experts) plus Latin inspired evenings with food and drink specials. A great place to meet old friends and make new ones.
