Nothing but the finest Italian coffees will do at Purl @ Rubi, and hungry revellers can munch on light bites from breakfast right throughout the day. The cocktail bar moves through the gears in the evening with funky house tunes and luscious cocktails, and there’s even room for a speakeasy-styled basement bar serving yet more delicious libations and playing swing and jazz tunes all night.

Effectively three venues in one, Purl @ Rubi is quite a way out but well worth a visit. The all-day café will help keep Surbiton’s workers ticking over with its takeaway service, and it is perfect for stopping by after work once the venue has undergone its daily transformation into a lively cocktail bar. Funky house tunes upstairs with a chilled prohibition feel below and great drinks throughout? It would be rude not to.
