The Spectator has now closed.
An already popular bar just a stone's throw from such popular destinations as St Paul's Cathedral and the Museum of London, The Spectator is a firmly rooted establishment in the area. Recently acquired by the EHM Group, who also own the incredibly popular Yager Bar and Gilt Bar, they certainly have a keen eye for business.
Open during weekdays only, this venue is a local favourite, regularly raking in clientele from nearby offices whether it's for a casual but stylish lunch or much needed after work drinks. With a carefully selected ales, lagers, wines and cocktails it is a place for everyone.
The kitchen emphasis is on local produce only, meaning fresh and exquisite cuisine is on offer throughout the week. Interestingly, it is also home to the award-winning comedy group The Funny Side who hold weekly performances in the 100-capacity room downstairs which has its own bar and can also be used as a private function.
