What they say:
Award-winning Quilon restaurant in Londons Westminster will be unveiling Q Bar at Quilon next week in its restaurant relaunch following its grand refurbishment. Residents, professionals and tourists alike in the Westminster/Victoria area will have a relaxed, stylish drinking spot in a location that has long had a dearth of sophisticated venues. The addition of Q Bar will complete the South Indian restaurants transformation (which will also include a new private dining room for up to 16 covers, with private bar, kitchen and entrance).
Already famed for its wine and beer offering, the restaurant will be introducing brand new wine and beer lists carefully selected by Executive Chef Sriram Aylur and Master of Wine Peter McCombie. The wine list will include 135 bins from well-known producers as well as more boutique vineyards and lesser-known regions around the world. There will also be a whisky list with over 50 varieties, while the 20-strong beer list will include a selection of British, vintage and world beers as well as specially created spiced cocktails.
What we say:
The new Q Bar at Quilon will certainly be a welcoming new addition to the already popular Michelin stared Indian restaurant. With muted tones, beautiful splashes of amber and jade fabrics, bronze fittings and weathered timber, Q Bar at Quilon is set to bring some Eastern promise to Central London and creating a perfect alternative to after work drinks for Westminster's office workers. Already extensively awarded for its choice of drinks including The Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2011, the Quilon expertise is set to rub off in its bar which will serve an impressive list of beers and wines all reasonably priced (wine starts at £5 per glass) and of excellent quality. With a delectable bar canapé menu, specially created by Head Chef Ramesh Ganiga, Q bar will offer customers the option of sampling the famous, Michelin starred cuisine (dishes starting at £3.50) and provide the perfect combination for a pleasant visit to the Quilon.
