What they say:
Gillrays Steakhouse & Bar is a restaurant at the London Marriott Hotel County Hall. Opened in Spring 2012, the design of Gillrays pays homage to the restaurants namesake, James Gillray, a famed English caricaturist and political satirist of the late 18th century, and its most English of locations the Grade II listed County Hall, built 100 years ago. Diners can expect a sophisticated yet unpretentious environment, which celebrates the best of English hospitality. From the outset Gillrays has been designed with passion and personality through artwork on the walls and the Gin themed bar. The sumptuous interior, with English Oak table tops, a nine-metre long Chesterfield sofa and crystal chandeliers, is complimented by every detail, from the menu, to the tailored staff uniform, through to the Sheffield 18/10 silverware.
What we say:
Easy to find on London's stunning Southbank, Gillray's Steakhouse and Bar is a fine addition to Waterloo's growing bar and restaurant scene. Serving cocktails such as ‘Gunpowder & Smoke’ and ‘The Morning After Marriage', Gillray's Gin bar is a great place to grab a seat with your mates on their Chesterfield sofa and settle in for a night of British steak and cocktails.
