The Refinery CityPoint

This boujee bar and restaurant near Moorgate station is the perfect place to go for a post-work tipple and bite and to eat. Indulge in the hearty comfort food such as a classic plate of fish and chips or a delicious smash burger, you can even go all out and order a sharing board (sharing not mandatory).

As well as good food, you can also sip on a mean margarita or enjoy your favourite craft ale while catching up with friends in the bar.

Boasting one of the best rooftops in the city, Aviary is the perfect spot for a sit down meal. Situated on the 10th floor of the Montcalm Royal London House Hotel, this bar and restaurant has everything on the menu from creamy burrata to slow cooked Welsh lamb shoulder.

You can even enjoy three courses is this iconic restaurant for £65 per person, making it the ideal place for a special occasion. 

Browns Brasserie & Bar Old Jewry

Situated inside a grand building that was once the Commonwealth Bank of Australia Browns Brasserie & Bar in Old Jewry is s top spot for all-day dining in style. Their high ceilings and full-length windows make this a bright and airy destination, with comfy leather booths to relax in.

There's a fantastic selection of Champagne if you're celebrating, with an indulgent afternoon tea up for grabs too. They've got all sorts of tasty brunch dishes to choose from, as well as their a la carte offering of pumpkin ravioli, fish pie with a cheddar mash, chicken schnitzel and much more.

Grapeshots

An intimate wine bar tucked away moments from Liverpool Street, Grapeshots is perfect for date nights and after work drinks alike. Owners the Davy family have collected wine-related artefacts over the years, which are now displayed across the venue.

Enjoy a premium selection of wines and ales while you dine, with an extensive menu to choose from. They serve tapas plates like falafel with harissa yoghurt or ham hock terrine, as well as larger dishes including roasted chimichurri aubergine and beef burgers.

Looking for somewhere that does a mean pie and a pint? Look no further. The Tokenhouse is a popular gastropub in Moorgate that boasts chic interiors while keeping the charm of a classic pub.

They serve up 1KG of chicken wings (if you're feeling a tad peckish) or you can enjoy some more traditional pub grub like pork chops or delicious homemade pies. 

Lamb and Trotter

A friendly pub and restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere, Lamb and Trotter is the place to be for hearty, seasonal dishes. We're talking beer-battered fish sandwiches, beetroot burgers and sirloin steaks, with a classic sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

Their sommeliers have crafted a selection of international wines to enjoy on the side, as well as all sorts of beers. As for the interiors, expect traditional wooden furnishings and checkered floors.

If you're after Moorgate restaurants for lunch, then check out Burdock Café & Cocktail Bar - found on the ground floor of the Montcalm Royal London House in Finsbury Square. Expect sleek, contemporary interiors and modern furniture, for relaxed dining with a few trendy touches.

Their all-day menu features a number of small plates, such as mac 'n' cheese croquettes and spicy chicken wings. There are a number of larger plates to enjoy as well, ranging from truffle mushroom pizzas to steak frites.

Piccolino - London - Exchange Square

The Anthologist

With an extensive wine list and seasonal all-day menu, The Anthologist is one of the best places to go for eats when in Moorgate. You can enjoy a delicious lunch here for just £17.95 on a weekday between 12pm and 4pm, so no need to break the bank.

You can even try out one of their amazing cocktail masterclasses throughout the week, learning all the skills to create your favourite tipple. 

Bread Street Kitchen

If you're on the hunt for restaurants, Moorgate London is the place to go. This Gordan Ramsey special is not one to be missed. Not only is the food stunning, but the interiors also steal the show with decor inspired by the City of London.

Taste an array of dishes from across the world, as Bread Street Kitchen serves up everything from the snow crab sushi to the most tender aged steaks. They even have a spaceship-themed private dining area for you to hire out for those extra special occasions.
