The Connaught Bar was one of many London venues to be honoured at the annual Spirited Awards.
Bars across London are celebrating this week after winning some of the most coveted prizes in the industry at the 10th annual Spirited Awards.
Announced at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans on Saturday, Mayfair’s Connaught Bar once again led the way for London as it scooped both the World’s Best Cocktail Bar and Best International Hotel Bar trophies. Other big winners included Callooh Callay (Best International High Volume Cocktail Bar), Hawksmoor Spitalfields (Best International Restaurant Bar) and Dandelyan (World's Best Cocktail Menu), who all gained international recognition from a panel of more than 100 industry experts.
The capital rounded off a highly impressive evening with Nightjar’s sister site Oriole crowned as the Best New International Cocktail Bar, while Hoxton Square’s basement bar Happiness Forgets took home the Best International Cocktail Bar award. Other prestigious winners included Tommy’s of San Francisco and New York’s Saxon + Parole, while the late Sasha Petraske was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
