Holey Cheesus, it’s safe to say 2020 has been a hell of a ride so far, but it would seem that things are finally looking up with the news that London is set to get its first ever all-you-can-eat fromage feast - and prices will start at just a tenner a head. Un-brie-lievable value.
The gang at The Cheese Bar have been hard at work masterminding a way to get Londoners eating more British-born stinky stuff over the past few weeks and the result is a month-long series of bottomless events - from oozing raclettes to that world-famous conveyor belt.
From Saturday the 8th of August, Pick & Cheese in Covent Garden will be offering diners the chance to load up on as much cheese and charcuterie as they can manage for just £20 a head - with the option to receive a 50% discount on Mondays with the government’s new Eat Out To Help Out scheme. Likewise, Camden will also be getting a slice of the action, as bottomless raclette nights return every Wednesday, complete with unlimited plates of melted Ogleshield cheese, ladled on top of glazed ham, Cornish new potatoes and cornichons.
After a tough few months for both the hospitality and dairy industry, these new events are the perfect opportunity to show your support whilst trying a whole host of holey delights. Forget free-flowing fizz, we reckon this could be the future of bottomless...
Bottomless plates at Pick & Cheese will run Friday – Monday throughout August. All bookings are for a maximum of 1hr 15 mins and are priced at £20pp (£10pp on Mondays). Bottomless Raclette at The Cheese Bar will run every Wednesday in August. Bookings are for a maximum of 1hr 30 mins and are priced at £9pp as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme (usually £18pp).
