One man enters, hundreds of sausages leave; no, this isn't Thunderdome, it's the hot dog eating contest at Blues Kitchen Shoreditch. Celebrating Independence Day with one almighty American tradition, stuffing food down one's gullet, East London's haven for whisky and blues invites Soho's Big Apple Hot Dog's down for the evening to celebrate American freedom and Coney Island's infamous contest.
Guests can sign up for free to enter, with the aim to eat as many hot dogs as they can within a 30 minute time-frame. Got a belly bigger than your brain? You could could come up trumps with a £50 voucher and a free Uber ride home. And better yet? Those with an American passport can enjoy free beer on the night.
The Blues Kitchen hot-dog eating competition takes places this July 4th from 7pm at their Shoreditch branch.
