The Rolling Stones recorded there, Jimi Hendrix partied there and rumours abound that Ziggy Stardust was born there - Denmark Street has long been a fixture in London's musical history, and now a new hotel is letting you soak up the stories of the famed Soho strip.
Due to open in Summer 2021, Chateau Denmark is a hotel and apartment complex created as a collaboration between immersive media bods, Outernet Global and hospitality developers CAW Ventures.
The whole site is set to span a whopping 16 buildings down the street, encompassing both bespoke 'session rooms' and apartments. Taking inspiration from a wealth of musical genres, the complex will heavily mix the aesthetics of punk, goth, psychedelia and good old-fashioned grandeur across its 55 rooms, with nods to guitar-wielding icons throughout each individual space.
And if that weren't enough? Rather than a mean old minibar, guests in Chateau Denmark's signature suites will find themselves faced with the far more hedonistic offering of a 'maxi-bar' - perfect for helping you raise a little hell.
Chateau Denmark is due to open in summer 2021 on Denmark Street, London, WC2H 8NJ. And if you're looking for more sensational sleeps? Check out our guide to the best hotel experiences in London.
