A slice of Tokyo is coming to the heart of Soho with the launch of London’s first-ever Harajuku themed brunch, complete with colour-popping interiors, kawaii teapot cocktails and an actual wishing tree slap bang in the middle of the restaurant.
It’s not just Chotto Matte’s pastel palette that’s got our heart all aflutter though, the menu is pretty special too. We’re talking sushi doughnuts, seabass ceviche and veggie tacos, rounded off with a big ol’ stack of fluffy pancakes layered with Yuzu cheesecake mousse and drizzled with hot white chocolate sauce… it's called a pancake soufflé, it's also called love at first bite.
And is brunch really even brunch if it's not sloshed down with legions of cocktails? Not in our book. Luckily you can opt to add unlimited Japanese-inspired concoctions to your Nikkei feast, from frozen yuzu margaritas to bloody marys with a twist and a fresh and fruity gin-tea-ni.
From the bottom of our big brunch-loving heart, Arigatō Chotto Matte.
