Sir David Attenborough will be narrating the new immersive experience at the museum.

A brand-new immersive experience is coming to the Natural History Museum this June, presented by national treasure and all-round hero to many, Sir David Attenborough. 

The experience is the first of its kind for the museum, as it showcases a host of projections, 360-degree immersion and real-world footage. Here's everything you need to know about Our Story with David Attenborough at The Natural History Museum.

What Is Our Story With David Attenborough?

The brand-new feature at the museum, led by the Planet Earth narrator, is going to use state-of-the-art cinematic projection technology combined with real-life footage of the planet to bring the experience to life. Here's what to expect:

  • A 50-minute sitting carefully curated by award-winning production team, Open Planet Studios
  • A 360-degree immersive experience that's the first of its kind for the museum
  • A narration by David Attenborough, reflecting on his near-century-long experience in the industry, where he will share his insight on and hopes for the planet
  • Information on the human impact on sea life, such as the great whales, as well as our relationship with primates

Sir David Attenborough said: "Humanity is the most influential species on Earth. We depend entirely on this magnificent planet, yet its future is in our hands. My hope is that visitors of all ages will experience our extraordinary journey at the Natural History Museum and come away feeling inspired, informed and most of all, empowered about their integral role in our worldThis is our story and we can all play a significant role."

Our mission has always been to create advocates for the planet, and we’re honoured that Sir David and Open Planet Studios will be helping us achieve this with this captivating exploration into humanity’s past and future."

When Will The New Immersive Experience Be Open?

Our Story with David Attenborough opens on Thursday 19th June, with tickets for museum members going on sale on Tuesday 20th May, and on Thursday 22nd May for non-members.

Adult prices will start from £20 per person and members will be offered 50% off tickets when they go live in May.
