Pop-up prince Jimmy Garcia brings his latest pro tem eatery to London’s Southbank Centre this winter. Following his successful summer BBQ extravaganza, the chef has announced Jimmy's Winter Lodge on the banks of the Thames.
This festive dining experience will feature a two-storey Alpine lodge, with a ticketed restaurant – The Refuge – upstairs, and open access bar and grill on the ground floor. The menu is hearty festive fare with mulled wine cured gravlax and fondue in The Refuge, and wild boar hot dogs and ‘Aspen Fries’ – skinny fries topped with truffles and parmesan – served downstairs on the Winter Grill.
Alongside the hand-built lodge, there will also be a heated riverside bar featuring fire-pits and winter cocktails, including a hot take on the old Mojito. However, the most intriguing element of the pop-up will be the four private, domed dining areas – the ‘Snow Globes’. Inside the Snow Globes parties as large as ten will be treated to views over the Thames as they chow down on fondue and Côte de Boeuf.
Jimmy's Winter Lodge takes place on the Southbank from November 10th to December 31st 2017. Book your Snow Globe here.
