The brainchild of advertising executive Edwin Chan, Edwin's French Wine Bar comes to London after the success of its French sister bar located in Lyon. The only difference to the Lyon bar will be the addition of a 40-cover restaurant which will indulge visitors with classic Lyonnais and regional French dishes such as Salade Lyonnaise, saucisson brioche, cassoulet and tarte aux pralines. With this tasty treat attached, this wine bar will not be your average after-work haunt and will have an added dimension that foodies will also be sure to love.
As expected, Edwin's will serve a long and distinguished wine list; with a 3000-strong selection on offer from 70 different producers, you'll be sure to find something you fall for. All sourced by Edwin's Lyon and privately imported, they will be served on rotation to keep a fresh selection with no more than 15 on sale in the bar at any one time. Prices vary, but with some top wines on offer you'll probably pay around £20 for a bottom end bottle, with some more premier bottles sold at around £65.

With a successful Lyon bar already under his belt, Edwin Chan's new London offering seems like it could be a real hit in Shoreditch. With classic French food now supplementing a crafted and selective wine-list, Edwin's seems like it could offer something a little different in Shoreditch. With a great deal of time and effort gone into making Edwin's French Wine Bar London a success, we think that Chan's devotion to learning about his product has stood him in good stead for his assualt on the London market. Edwin's plans to stock 70 wines on a rotation basis and this can only be a good thing for London's wine-lovers with another quality purveyor coming to the capital. Judging by the buzz surrounding Edwin's London, we recommend taking a date and wowwing them with this new London gem.
