While carb converts have had the day etched in their minds since last year, it's time to add Friday 25th October to your diaries as World Pasta Day hits the city. And helping you to stuff yourself with as much spaghetti as humanly possible is Emilia's Crafted Pasta in Aldgate as they offer up their freshly made dishes completely free. Forget complimentary doughballs, however; the City restaurant is going all out, serving seven of their signature dishes without charge for both lunch and dinner.
Taking place between 12 - 4pm and 5.30 - 9.30pm, the giveaway includes plates such as four-hour slowcooked bolognese and curved casarece pasta, covered in a parmesan, pesto and pecorino sauce. While drinks, desserts and antipasti aren't included in the offer, you're welcome to pop in and show your appreciation for World Pasta Day at both sittings. And if you really want to show your appreciation to Emilia's Crafted Pasta, they're just asking you to give them a follow on Insta - doesn't sound too taxing for a plate of free, handmade pasta.
Emilia's Crafted Pasta (77 Alie Street, London, E1 8NH) is giving away free pasta on Friday 25th October between 12 - 4pm and 5.30 - 9.30pm. Free pasta dishes are limited to one per person and are subject to availability. It's not possible to book, so turn up early.
